Overview

The White Lotus Season 1 is the first season of HBO's satirical comedy-drama anthology series. The season is set at the White Lotus resort in Maui, Hawaii. The guests include: Shane Patton (Jake Lacy), a wealthy, spoiled newlywed; Rachel (Alexandra Daddario), his new wife; Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge), a lonely, wealthy, and emotionally unstable woman; Mark (Steve Zahn) and Nicole Mossbacher (Connie Britton), a wealthy couple from San Francisco; and their children. The first season explores themes of class, race, and privilege. The guests are oblivious to their own wealth and power, and they treat the staff as invisible. The season ends with a death: Armond, the resort manager, is accidentally stabbed.
