The Expanse Season 1

Overview

The Expanse Season 1 is the first season of Syfy's science fiction series, based on the book series by James S.A. Corey. The first season is set in a future where humanity has colonized the solar system. There is tension between Earth, Mars, and the "Belters" (people who live in the asteroid belt). The story follows three main characters: Detective Miller (Thomas Jane), a Belter detective looking for a missing woman; James Holden (Steven Strait), the executive officer of an ice hauler who discovers a conspiracy; and Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), a UN politician trying to prevent a war. The first season is a complex, slow-burn, and rewarding sci-fi thriller.
